Traitors - Heswall Councillors Defect to Reform UK.

The news that Heswall’s three councillors have defected to Reform UK has left  many Heswall residents feeling cheated.

 Last summer, Heswall’s councillors left the Conservative group on the Council to sit as ‘Independent Conservatives’. At the time, Cllr Hodson said in a Facebook post:

“I can assure you I and my fellow councillors will not be joining Reform.

I was voted in on a Conservative ticket and we are remaining in the party.”

That promise did not last very long! 

Heswall has never elected a Reform councillor. Heswall Lib Dems will do our best to make sure it never does!

Liberal Democrats will continue to stand for tolerance, inclusivity and fairness. 

Elizabeth Brame came within 21 votes of being elected at the last local elections in Heswall.

She said, “Conservative voters have been betrayed by their local councillors. Those who voted Lib Dem are even angrier.

“We don’t want to see the politics of division and intolerance in Heswall.
